ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW
During the pregnancy, baby, toddler and parenting journey we are carrying a lot of extra weight. It doesn’t just stop when our babies are born, but increases as we are constantly carrying our new-borns as they grow into toddlers. Research shows this places significant pressure on our feet, with 60 to 70% of women’s feet permanently changing during pregnancy and 1 in 5 having their shoe size change. This is due in part to the extra weight but also the increased looseness (laxity) of joints during pregnancy.
The research shows that the majority of change occurs during the first pregnancy and therefore the need for early intervention.
